2 Riverhead High School Students Earn 'Commended' Designation
Congratulations to the two students, who were named Commended Students in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Two Riverhead High School students have received high honors for their academic achievements.
Sarah Vunkannon and Robert Stahl were named Commended Students in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program as a result of their outstanding scores on the qualifying exam, the Riverhead Central School District said.
The students are among approximately 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation recognized for "exceptional academic promise"; to earn the title, they placed among the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the competition by taking the PSAT, district officials added.
