2 Robbed At Gunpoint In Riverhead: Police
They had gone to the spot to buy a "large quantity" of marijuana and their money was stolen at gunpoint, police said.
RIVERHEAD, NY — Two people were robbed at gunpoint in Riverhead Sunday, police said.
Riverhead police said a call came in at 11 a.m. about an armed robbery in progress on Doctors Path. The two people said they had been at the spot to purchase a "large quantity" of marijuana and were robbed of their money by Zanta Davender, 22, of Riverhead, police said.
At 3:16 p.m., Davender was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery, police said.
