2 Women Assault Man In Deli Robbery: Police
The man sustained a laceration to the face, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Two women were charged with assaulting a man during a deli robbery in Riverhead Saturday, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, the incident took place on Saturday at 2:40 p.m.; police received a 911 call reporting a robbery at the Quick Stop Deli located on West Main Street.
Officers discovered a man with a laceration to his face; the detective division was requested to the scene to assist in the investigation, police said.

During the investigation it was determined that a man was assaulted by two females; he dropped currency during the assault, police said. One of the women recovered it off the floor and both women left the scene, police said.
Tonya Minter, 31, of Flanders, was arrested and charged with third degree assault, a misdemeanor, and Tamekia Issac, 33, of Flanders, was charged with third degree assault, a misdemeanor, and petty larceny, a misdemeanor, police said.

Both women were held for arrest processing and released on desk appearance tickets for future court action in the Riverhead Justice Court, police said.
