3 Nabbed During Riverhead Memorial Day Weekend Checkpoints: Police
In the ongoing effort to nab drunk drivers, enforcement details are slated to continue throughout the year, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Three were nabbed at DWI task force checkpoints in Riverhead Saturday night, police said.
The Riverhead Police Department said the arrests took place as part of Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota's DWI Task Force efforts.
Thomas J. Celeste, 49, of Mastic, was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Edwards Avenue, driving while ability impaired by drugs, fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Reyes A. Rubio, 51, of Riverhead, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and several vehicle and traffic violations, police said.
Karin A. Reilly, 21, of Brookhaven was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and several vehicle and traffic violations, police said.

Those arrested were transported to the Riverhead Police Department where they were processed and held awaiting morning arraignment, police said.
Enforcement details are scheduled to continue throughout the year.
Members of the Riverhead Police Department, Suffolk County Police Department, Southold Police Department, Shelter Island Police Department and New York State Police conducted the increased enforcement throughout Riverhead, where several checkpoints had been established throughout the evening, police said.
