3 Nabbed In DWI Crackdown: Police
Similar DWI enforcement details are slated to continue throughout the holiday season, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Three motorists were nabbed as part of the Suffolk County District Attorney's ongoing DWI Task Force, police said.
According to Riverhead Police, members of the Riverhead Police Department, New York State Police, Southold Police Department and the Shelter Island Police Department conducted increased enforcement throughout Riverhead Friday night, where several checkpoints had been set up throughout the evening.
The following individuals were arrested and charged, police said:

Epifanio Valey Ajvix, 27 , of Riverhead was charged with driving while ability impaired, police said.
Kenneth B. Rivero Jr, 57, of Riverhead was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.

Dawn E. Baker, 43, of Riverhead, was charged with driving while intoxicated, police said.
All 3 were transported to the Riverhead Police Department where they were processed, police said. Valey Ajvix and Baker were held for a morning arraignment and Rivero was released on an appearance ticket, police said.
Similar enforcement details are scheduled to continue throughout the year, police said.
