3 Teens Injured, 1 Seriously, In Manorville Crash: Police

The driver veered off the road and hit a tree, police say.

MANORVILLE, NY — Three teenagers were hurt, one seriously, in a Manorville crash early Tuesday, police said.

According to Suffolk County Police, the crash took place at 2:30 a.m. on North Street, north of Moriches Middle Island Road.

Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating the crash, which took place when an 18-year-old female, who was driving a 2008 Nissan Altima westbound on North Street, approximately one mile north of Moriches Middle Island Road, veered off the road and crashed into a tree, police said.

A 17-year-old passenger in the front seat of the vehicle was transported by Suffolk County Police aviation to Stony Brook University Hospital in serious condition, police said.

The driver and a 17-year-old male, who had been a passenger in the backseat of the vehicle, were transported via ambulances to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing, police said. Detectives have asked anyone with information on the crash to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
