4 New Police Officers Join Riverhead Force
"We all wish them a safe, healthy and successful career as they start their service to the residents of, and visitors to, Riverhead."

RIVERHEAD, NY — The Riverhead Police Department welcomed four new full-time police officers to its ranks this week.
The officers, Cameron Oswald, Craig Vasey, Peter Anderson and Daniel Clark, were appointed by the town board at the Sept. 4 town board meeting to fill vacancies created by recent retirements, police said.
Riverhead Town Police Chief David Hegermiller thanked the town board for their continued commitment to public safety and said the recruits started this past Monday with two attending the Suffolk County Police Academy and two assigned directly to field training, since they already had their New York State police certification.
