9 Taxicab Drivers Issued Summonses In Riverhead: Police

RIVERHEAD, NY — A compliance check led to the issuance of summonses for nine taxicab drivers in Riverhead, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, the Riverhead Police Department COPE unit conducted an investigation regarding taxicab permit compliance within the town.

The nine summonses were issued for violations of the Riverhead Town code, police said.

Compliance checks will be conducted on an ongoing basis throughout the year, police said.
