After, Charlottesville Unity Vigil Planned For Riverhead

The vigil is meant to promote unity and solidarity after Charlottesville.

RIVERHEAD, NY — The East End community will come together at a vigil organized to share messages of healing and comfort after the Charlottesville violence.

The East End vigil, meant to focus on "solidarity and unity" will be held on Monday, August 28, at 6 p.m. on the Peconic River at the gazebo located at the corner of McDermott Avenue and Heidi Behr Way, according to organizers.

"Join us at a peaceful vigil to honor the memories of Heather Heyer and the others injured at Charlottesville, Virginia," those planning the event said.

Guests are asked to bring candles, chairs, "families, friends and positive energy."
