SHOREHAM-WADING RIVER, NY — It was all treats and no tricks this Halloween as three good-hearted teens impressed the community with their kindness.

Robert Molloy reached out on the Shoreham/Wading River Community Group Facebook page to laud the teens' actions.

"I live in Soundview Acres and I just happened to check my camera from last night. I saw that we had three teenagers come to our house, one girl and two boys — all wearing football jerseys," he wrote. "When they discovered our bowl was empty, they donated some of their own candy to our bowl. The next group of very young kids were happy to find some candy. If anyone knows who these teens are, please give them a huge thank you!"

He added: "It was a wonderful gesture on their part."

Mom Terri Andresen soon responded. "Thank you for posting this!" she said. "It happened to be my son Logan, my daughter Brooke, and her boyfriend Matt. It’s so nice to hear what they did! It made our day!"

Molloy again asked her to thank the generous teens. "This was so cool to see," he said.

Andresen was thrilled to learn of her kids' generosity on social media. "I will definitely let them know. Thank you for posting. It was a nice surprise to me when I read this. I wouldn’t have known if it wasn’t for the post. It is a great community. They’ll be happy to hear they made the next group of little ones happy," she said.
