Another Newly Adopted Dog Lost, Community Searching for Winky
The dog bolted as she was getting out of the car on the way to her forever home, according to the North Fork Animal Welfare League.

RIVERHEAD, NY - A Calverton family is hoping for a miracle as they search desperately for the shelter dog who went missing only minutes after she was adopted Tuesday.
According to Eileen Kreiling, manager of the North Fork Animal Welfare League's Shelter in Riverhead, Winky, who lived at the shelter for about a yar, was just adopted and on her way home, wearing a collar and leash, when she ran off, she said.
"They opened to door to get her out of the backseat and she bolted," Kreiling said. "She got scared and she ran."
