Authorities Investigate Alarm, Broken Window at Route 58 Toys R Us: Police

It was not immediately clear if any merchandise was stolen, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY: Police responded to Toys R Us on Route 58 in Riverhead early Sunday morning after an audible alarm was detected by an officer on routine patrol, police said.

When the officer arrived on the scene at 4:20 a.m., a northwestern window was discovered broken, police said.

A K-9 unit was notified and responded and a track was conducted but no suspect was located, police said.

It was not immediately clear if any merchandise was removed, police said.
