Bob's Discount Furniture Celebrates Upcoming Riverhead Store Opening by Donating $10,000 to Local Schools

Fifth Long Island Location Brings Fast-Growing Furniture Retailer's Total to 53 Stores

MANCHESTER, Conn. – Bob’s Discount Furniture invites the community of Suffolk County to the grand opening celebration for its new Riverhead store, which will be the company’s fifth location on Long Island. To demonstrate its commitment to the community this new store will serve, Bob’s will donate a total of $10,000 to local schools in the weeks surrounding the grand opening.

WHAT: Grand Opening – Bob’s new store in Riverhead, N.Y.

– Bob’s public relations director, Cathy Poulin, will participate in the store ribbon cutting with local dignitaries.

– Cathy will present $2,500 each to representatives from Bishop McGann-Mercy High School and St. Isidore School.

– Kids entertainment, including balloons and face painting, will be available, along with complimentary refreshments from the store’s cafe.

WHEN: The grand opening celebration begins at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, Aug 28.
