Bomb Threat Reported Outside Peconic Bay Medical Center In Riverhead: Police
The investigation remains ongoing, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — A bomb threat was reported outside Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead Wednesday morning, police said.
According to Riverhead Town police, an anonymous call came in about 11:18 a.m. from an unknown male stating that an unknown person or persons had placed bombs outside the hospital.
Hospital staff immediately contacted the Riverhead Town Police Department for assistance, police said.

Patrol units searched the exterior of the hospital but found no signs of suspicious activity, explosive devices, or bomb-making materials, police said.
The Riverhead Town Police Department's detective division responded and initiated a further investigation, authorities said.
