Burglar Breaks In To Long Island Aquarium: Cops

The thief broke a window and stole cash, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A burglar broke into the Long Island Aquarium Monday, police said.

According to Riverhead Police, the incident took place at 10:55 p.m. at the aquarium, located at 431 East Main Street in Riverhead. A security guard said sometime after closing time, someone broke a rear window, entered the building, stole cash from the register, and fled the scene, police said.
