Burglar Caught Red-Handed at Local Farmstand: Police
BREAKING: The man broke the glass on a rear door to gain entry, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY — An Astoria, Queens man was caught red-handed burglarizing a Riverhead farmstand, police said.
According to Riverhead Police, Jorge L. Reyes, 57, was arrested on Wednesday at 2:26 a.m. and charged with two counts of third degree burglary, a felony, and fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor.
Riverhead Police were called to Northville Farms, located at 5333 Sound Avenue, where Reyes was found exiting the business after breaking the glass on a rear door of the farmstand, police said. Reyes entered the farmstand and removed assorted items before being apprehended at the scene, police said.

The Riverhead Police Department's detective division responded to investigate the reported crime and in doing so, additionally charged Jorge Reyes with burglarizing Long Island Bootleggers, a distillery located at 5506 Sound Avenue in Riverhead, police said.
Riverhead Police were called to the Long Island Bootleggers location after an alarm activation on Tuesday at 10:47 p.m., police said.

Reyes was taken into custody, processed and held for arraignment in Riverhead Justice Court, police said.
