'The Call Anyone Would Dread': Beloved Sister Dies Unexpectedly At 39

RIVERHEAD, NY — A family that has faced a recent and terrifying health ordeal is now faced with heartbreaking loss.

On March 22, Jaclyn Roche -Guastella said: "Our family got that call that everyone and anyone would dread. The loss of a loved one."

Roche-Guastella set up A GoFundMe, "Funeral Expenses For My Sister Jamie," to help during the darkest of days.

"My sister, Jamie, passed unexpectedly at the young age of 39," she wrote. "For all that knew her, and knew her well, knew she had a huge heart and always wanted to help someone despite her own life struggles. She leaves behind four beautiful, innocent, loving children, Dakota, Thomas, Lilly, and Harley, that she loved so very much."

She added: "With all the struggles our family has endured in the last few months, finances are not in our favor at the moment. I'm putting this fundraiser together in hopes of raising enough to try to give my sister a proper good-bye. If you can find in your heart to contribute or share this fundraiser, our family will be forever grateful."

Roche -Guastella, a dedicated animal advocate who runs The Broken Antler Wildlife Rescue, with her fiance Joe Rocco, faced a terrifying health ordeal this year.

And now her family is reeling after unthinkable loss.

"Rest peacefully, Jamie. We love you always!" Roche-Guastella wrote.

Visitation will be held for Jamie Lee Jasinski on Thursday, March 28, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Alexander-Rothwell Funeral Home, located on 6447 Route 25A, in Wading River. A funeral service will be held during visitation at 8:30 p.m. A private cremation will follow.
