Calverton Man Charged With DWI In Cutchogue: Police

CUTCHOGUE, NY — A Calverton man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in Cutchogue Tuesday, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, the incident took place at 7:50 p.m. on Route 48. Epifanio Cruz-Vasquez, 56, was stopped for failing to stay within his lane and found to be intoxicated, police said.

Cruz-Vasquez was arrested and charged with DWI, first offense; operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent of 1 percent, first offense; moving from lane unsafely; and driving without a license, police said.

He was transported to Southold Police headquarters, processed, and held for morning arraignment, police said.
