Capital One Bank Robber Caught; Homeless Man Cuffed: Police
Vincent P. Allen was charged with robbery in the third degree, a felony, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY - A homeless man was apprehended Tuesday in connection with a robbery last week at Capital One Bank in Riverhead, police said.
The Riverhead Police Department Detective Division arrested Vincent P. Allen at 1 p.m. and charged him with robbery in the third degree, a felony, following the investigation of a bank robbery that occurred at Capital One Bank located at 140 East Main St. in Riverhead on April 26, police said.
Allen was processed and taken to Riverhead Justice Court for arraignment; he was then transported to the Suffolk County Correctional Facility to be held until his next court date, police said.

Police are asking for the public's help to catch the thief who robbed Capital One Bank in Riverhead yesterday.
It was initially reported that Allen made off with an undisclosed amount of money, police said; the amount stolen has not yet been revealed.
