Car Fire Breaks Out On Long Island Expressway

The car fire was reported just before 4:30 p.m. at Exit 71 on the LIE.

RIVERHEAD, NY — First responders rushed to extinguish a car fire on the Long Island Expressway Tuesday, officials said.

According to Suffolk County Police, a report of a car fire by Exit 71 on the LIE came in at 4:25 p.m.

No additional information was immediately available.
