Car Found Burning In Woods: Police
The fire is suspicious and an investigation is underway, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A car was found in flames in the Riverhead woods early Friday, police said.
According to the Riverhead Police Department, officers responded, at 2:17 a.m., to a report of a vehicle fire in the woods to the west of the Long Island Expressway on ramp at Exit 73.
The Riverhead Fire Department was notified to extinguish the fire; there was no driver or passenger at the scene and the fire is being considered suspicious in nature, police said.

The Riverhead fire marshal, Riverhead Police Department's detective division and Suffolk County Police Department's arson section were notified and responded to the scene to investigate the incident, police said.
The vehicle has not been identified, police said.
