If you're craving some food this New Year's Eve, you can't do much better than Blackwells Restaurant's New Year's Eve buffet. Executive Chef Chris Gerdes will offer the regular menus and $34.95 prix fixe at 5 and 7 p.m. At the 9:15 p.m. seating, Blackwells will serve a special four-course dinner, champagne toast at midnight, party favors and noisemakers, dancing and live music by the Ed Balsamo Jazz Quartet. The cost is $75 per person plus tax and service charge. Reservations are required and space is limited.

For a family friendly event, attend the annual Fishes and Wishes celebration at the Long Island Aquarium. Fishes and Wishes includes food, entertainment, a Winter Wonderland for the kids, unlimited submarine simulator rides, Ray Bay feeding, face painting and more. Champagne and sparkling cider will be served as you come in, there will be a cocktail hour, dinner, dessert and an ice cream bar, along with a "midnight" toast before all is over at 11 p.m. A live DJ will perform. Tickets cost $85 for adults, $49 for children and seniors, while children under 2 get in for free.

Now's your opportunity to check out the at the Riverhead Project on Main Street. The restaurant's New Year's celebration will include dinner, dancing and a DJ.
Take part in a Riverhead tradition starting at 7 p.m. at Polish Town Hall as the New Year's Eve Party will feature Polish Town's famous steaks, along with sides, salads, and dessert. Tickets cost $25, and reservations are recommended.
The Vail-Leavitt Music Hall will feature a concert with Grammy-nominated artists Oogee Wa Wa, Christian Ericksen, Audrey Twitchell, Street Roxx and more. The concert, which starts at 8 p.m., costs $25 each. Call ahead for tickets.
The Hotel Indigo East End will host "Champagne and Chandeliers" a New Year's Eve bash starting at 9 p.m. The party will include an open bar, Indigo's Tapas style food, music with one of New York City's hottest DJs, champagne toasts and more. Tickets cost $125 per person.
