Close Race In Southold Town With All But 1 District Reported
See how the candidates fared after the voters turned out Tuesday.

SOUTHOLD, NY —It was a nailbiter election in Southold Tuesday with many close races reported.
With all but one district left to be counted, Denis Noncarrow, who ran on the Republican and Conservative lines, came out ahead against his opponent Candace Hall, a Democrat, for the town clerk's post. Noncarrow garnered 45.56 percent of the vote, or 3,788 votes, compared to Hall's 3,738 votes, or 44.95 percent.
In the race for town board, Democrat and Working Families candidates took the lead, with Greg Doroski coming in first at 26.92 percent and 4,405 votes. Next came Brian Mealy with 4,039 votes or 24.69 percent. Republican and Conservative candidate Greg Williams garnered 3,968 votes or 24.25 percent, and GOP/Conservative candidate Anthony Sannino had 3,948 votes or 24.13 percent.

In a close trustee race, Eric Sepenoski (Democrat, Working Families) received 4,260 votes; Kristina Gabrielsen (R, Conservative) 4,092; Liz Gillooly, (D, WF) 4,062; Peter Johnstone (R,C) 4,018; Elizabeth Peeples (D, WF) 3,954; and Jason Taggart (R,C) 3,944.
