Dead Man Found Floating Off Montauk Shore: Police
Police have identified the man found floating in the waters off Montauk; the death investigation is ongoing, police say.
MONTAUK, NY — Police have identified a man whose body was found floating in the waters off Montauk, authorities said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, the body of Julio Tubatan, 57, of Montauk, was found by the United States Coast Guard Friday at 7:23 a.m. in Montauk Harbor just off the shore near Coast Guard Station Montauk.
Tubatan was pronounced dead at the scene by investigators with the Suffolk County Medical Examiners Office, police said.

The East Hampton Town Police Department, in conjunction with the Suffolk County Medical Examiners Office, is investigating his death; no further information is being released at this time, police said.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call East Hampton Town Police at 631-537-7575.
