Dog Snatched from Puppy Experience in Aquebogue, Woman Cuffed: Police

The dog was returned to Puppy Experience, police said.

A Farmingville woman turned herself in after stealing a dog from Puppy Experience in Aquebogue, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, Jacqulin Tejada, 24, was arrested Tuesday and charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a felony.

The arrest stemmed from an investigation into the theft of a Shih Tzu puppy from Puppy Experience, located on Main Road in Aquebogue that occurred on January 17, police said.

The puppy was recovered on January 20 by the police department and returned to Puppy Experience, police said. Jacqulin Tejada turned herself in at Riverhead police headquarters, where she was arrested and processed on Tuesday, police said.
