Driver Crashes Into 2 Utility Poles, Road Closed: Cops
The road closure is in effect until further notice, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A crash in Riverhead early Saturday left two PSEG poles down and the road closed until further notice, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, the crash took place at 4:45 a.m. on Sound Ave. between Phillips Ln. and Church Ln. in Aquebogue.
Two PSEG poles were struck, with one broken in half, police said.

As a result, Sound Ave is closed in both directions between Phillips Ln. and Church Ln. until further notice; police said.
"Please use alternative routes and drive safely to get to your destination," police said.
