Drug Bust At House Nets Crack Cocaine, Packaging, Arrests: Cops
Complaints about the home refer to it as "as the epicenter and a safe haven to both sell and utilize illegal narcotics," police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Six people were arrested after a drug bust at a Riverhead residence, police said.
The Suffolk County District Attorney’s East End Drug Task Force, along with the Riverhead Police Department, conducted an investigation at 67 Zion Street in Riverhead Tuesday, police said.
The location has also had two previous executed search warrants since 2016, police said. Complaints refer to the premises "as the epicenter and a safe haven to both sell and utilize illegal narcotics," police said.

On Tuesday at 3:01 p.m., a search warrant was executed, resulting in the recovery of crack cocaine, packaging material, and various items of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Venable Booker, 60, was arrested and charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and first degree loitering, police said.

Maurice Nash, 50, was arrested and charged with second degree obstructing governmental justice, police said. Rose Pittman 41, Walter L. James, 45, Gerald A. Nash, 57, and Robert E. Young, 55, were arrested and charged with first degree loitering, police said.
Booker was held for morning arraignment, as was Young, who also had an outstanding Riverhead bench warrant, police said.
