East End Doctor Named to 'Top Doctors' List

Eastern Long Island Hematology Oncology, P.C. recently announced that Dr. Louis J. Avvento has been named to Newsday’s Top Doctors list under the specialty of Hematology.

The list features a total of 750 select doctors on Long Island from the 2015 Castle Connolly Guide.

Avvento, a Southampton resident, is board certified in four specialties including Internal Medicine, Hematology and Hospice, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care.

He currently serves as the Medical Director of East End Hospice in Westhampton, is the Director of Palliative Care at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, and a board member of Fighting Chance.

He holds privileges at the three East End hospitals: Peconic Bay Medical Center, Southampton Hospital and Eastern Long Island Hospital.

Over the years, Avvento has received multiple awards in recognition of his outstanding performance and achievements in the field including:
