East Hampton Drunk Driver's BAC More Than 3X Legal Limit: Cops

He was nabbed on Sunrise Highway, police say

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — An East Hampton man was caught driving drunk, with a blood alcohol content of more than three times the legal limit, police said.

According to New York State Police, Ryan T. Creamer, 34, was arrested on Jan. 2 at 4:46 p.m. after he was heading east on Sunrise Highway in Hampton Bays and stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation.

Upon further investigation, Creamer was found to be intoxicated, with a BAC of .28%; the legal limit is .08%, police said.

Creamer was arrested, charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, and was released on an appearance ticket; he is due back at Southampton Justice Court on Jan. 16, police said.
