“What if I told you that you’re a liar? That your family, your closest friends and even you have no idea who or what you really are?”
In his new book, The Real Matrix (AuthorHouse, A Penguin Random House Company digital and paperback, Michael Evans argues that we are not the people we see in the mirror. We are not smart, not stupid, not winners or losers. We are not even individuals. In actuality, we are nothing more than atoms vibrating at different levels to orchestrate a virtual reality that we perceive in our minds, acting in concert to fulfill each other’s destinies. That concert is known as the universe. Uni = one. Verse = song.

“The purpose of The Real Matrix is to get people back to their true selves,” explains Michael Evans. “The naked minds we were born with that understands we are the artist creating our reality and that reality can be as beautiful as our thoughts will allow.”
As babies, we had everything we needed to survive. When we wanted to walk, we made the decision to get up and walk. When we fell, we didn’t chastise ourselves; we got back up and soon we were walking. When other children did something that upset us, we cried. Then moments later, we let it go and we played again, never to think about the incident again. There were no judgments, gossip, or restrictions. We trusted in our own intuition to guide us.
Michael Evans suggests that teachers, parents, society and popular media plant the seeds that set limitations on people. “Schools classify children based on how well they remember facts that are irrelevant in their lives,” he says. “Parents force feed beliefs dished out to them when they were children: ‘you must study to succeed’, ‘sit still and pay attention’, ‘practice makes perfect’.
“We are considered ‘normal’ when we perform, learn and live within the rules.” he continues. In The Real Matrix, he teaches readers to release themselves from the imposed chains and to change life from being something that is happening to them into something happening for them; to understand that what we think about, what we place our attention on, is what expands into our reality.
“We are connected to an energy that is greater than all of us, that which we came from and will one day return.” The key to accessing it now, according to Michael Evans: “We simply need to remember what we have forgotten and trust in love.”
