Eastport Firefighters Respond to Fire in Remensburg

Eastport firefighters responded to calls about a working structure fire at 3 Bayberry Lane in Remensburg around 11 a.m. on Thursday, according to a27east.com report. The blaze began inside the utility room of the home, owned by Diana Blustain, and was under control within minutes of the arrival of firefighters, Eastport Fire Department 2nd Assistant Chief Michael Tortorice told 27east.

According to Tortorice, the fire was electrical in nature and officials are still investigating the cause. The damage inside the home was minor.

“There was a lot of black smoke,” Tororice told 27east.
