Elderly Couple Held Up At Knifepoint Outside Riverhead Walmart: Police
BREAKING: The man grabbed the woman's pocketbook and fled, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY — An elderly couple was held up at knifepoint outside the Riverhead Walmart Thursday, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, officers responded at 5:15 p.m. to Walmart after a report of a robbery.
An unknown white male displayed a box cutter type knife to an elderly couple sitting in their car and demanded money, police said. The suspect grabbed the woman's pocketbook and fled the area, heading east, police said.

Multiple police units responded and attempted to locate the subject, to no avail, police said.
The Riverhead Police detective division was notified and responded, police said.
