Employee, 51, At LI Teen Group Home Charged With Raping Girl, 16: PD
The incidents took place over several months, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY— An employee at a teen group home in Riverhead was arrested after being accused of raping a resident of the facility, 16, police said.
According to Riverhead Town police, on Thursday at 12:18 p.m., detectives, after a lengthy investigation, arrested Timothy Hill Ranch Employee Maunul Roias, 51, of Miller Place.
The investigation revealed that Rojas was having consensual sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old female resident, police said.

The incidents took place over the course of several months beginning in March of 2023, and took place both on and off campus, police said.
The name of the 16-year-old victim is being withheld to protect her identity, police said.

Roias was charged with two counts of third degree rape; two counts of third-degree criminal sexual act; and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
Roias was processed and held for arraignment at the Riverhead Justice Court, police said.
