WADING RIVER, NY — The mood was festive at the 6th Annual Tree Lighting, held at The Shoppes at East Wind in Wading River Sunday.

Children were able to mail letters to Santa; the event also included a live DJ and dancing, the chance to ride the holiday-bedecked carousel, including Rudolph, and holiday shopping galore.

Santa arrived on a firetruck to light the tree and happy children posed for photos with St. Nick — and there were lots of holiday-themed photo opportunities around the shops.
