Former CVS Employee Stole Oxycodone, Hydrocodone To Sell: Cops
She stole the pills so she and her boyfriend could re-sell them in the Riverhead community, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A former CVS pharmacy employee and her boyfriend have been arrested and charged after she stole prescription pills so that the pair could re-sell them in the Riverhead community, police said.
The Riverhead Town Police Department along with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s East End Drug Task Force and the DEA diversion unit conducted an investigation into the theft and subsequent sale of prescription pills from the CVS Pharmacy, located at 1140 Old County Road, police said.
The investigation revealed that without CVS’s permission or authority to do so, former employee Amber S. Maltese, 26, in concert with her boyfriend Tijay A. Clairborne, 28, removed hydrocodone- acetamin on May 25 and oxycodone-acetaminophen on May 28 for the purpose of illegal resale, police said.

On July 19, Maltese was arrested and charged with third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, fourth degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, and two counts of petty larceny, police said.
On September 13, Clairborne was arrested and charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property, police said.

Both were arraigned on their respective arrest dates and were released on their own recognizance, police said.
