Former Gas Station Employee Charged With Stealing Scratch Offs: Police
The theft was initially reported in July, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A Calverton woman was cuffed after she was caught stealing scratch off tickets at the Wading River gas station where she was once employed, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, Elena Vera, 27, was arrested on Friday at 2 p.m.
Police received a report on July 26 from the management of Speedway Gas on Route 25A in Wading River regarding stolen New York State Lottery scratch off tickets, as well as currency, police said.

After an investigation by the Riverhead Police department's detective division, Vera was arrested and charged with three counts of petty larceny, police said.
She was processed and released on an appearance ticket for Riverhead Justice Court, police said.
