Gunman Fires Shots at Riverhead TGI Fridays: Police
Shots were also fired into a car but no one was hurt, police said.

A Bellport man was busted after he fired shots at the TGI Fridays on Route 58 in Riverhead and also at an unoccupied car, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, Xavier Cancel, 20, was arrested Monday in relation to an incident that took place on Nov. 26, 2015 in the parking lot of the restaurant, when handguns were fired, with bullets hitting the TGI Fridays building and the unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot.
On Monday, Cancel was arrested, charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, a felony, and reckless endangerment in the second degree, a misdemeanor, police said.

He was brought over from the SuffolK County Correctional Facility for processing and was arraigned in Riverhead Justice Court, where bail was set at $25,000, police said.
After arraignment he was transported back to the jail where is incarcerated on an unrelated matter, police said.
