Gunpoint Robbery In Riverhead: Police
The search is on for three suspects, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A man was held up at gunpoint in Riverhead and the search is on for three suspects, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, the incident took place on Saturday at 12:02 a.m. when a 911 call came in from the victim of a robbery that took place on Railroad Avenue.
With the assistance of language line, it was determined that the victim was robbed by three men; one of the individuals displayed a black semi-automatic type hand gun, police said.

One of the others then stole the victim's cell phone, police said.
The victim said the three suspects fled eastbound on Railroad Avenue on foot; a search was conducted by several patrols along with a Riverhead Police K9 unit with no results, police said.

The Riverhead Police Department's detective division was notified and responded.
The victim described the three suspects to be young, possibly in their late teens or early 20s, police said.
One subject was described as a white male, the second, a black male ,and the third was described as a "mixed male, possibly black/white in color," police said.
