Gunshots Fired At Same Riverhead Home Twice In Week: Police
Multiple gunshots were fired; both shootings are under investigation, police say
RIVERHEAD, NY — Gunshots were fired for the second time in a week at a Riverhead home, police said.
According to Riverhead Town police, a call came in Saturday at 2 a.m. about an incident involving multiple gunshots fired, which struck a residence on Wilson Avenue.
No injuries were reported, police said.

Witnesses said people inside a vehicle — with an unknown make, model and registration — stopped in front of the home and opened fire on the residence, police said.
During the course of an investigation it was also learned that an additional incident involving gunshots being fired at the same house took place Wednesday, but was not reported to police at the time, authorities said.

No injuries were reported Wednesday, either — but there was also reported damage to the residence and to a vehicle parked outside as a result of that shooting, separate from Saturday's incident, police said.
Both shootings are under investigation; anyone with information is asked to contact the Riverhead Police Department's detective division at 631-727-4500. All calls will be kept confidential.
