Hallockville Museum Farm to Host 35th Annual Fall Festival This Weekend

The event is the museum's biggest fundraiser of the year.

The Hallockville Museum Farm will be hosting their 35th Annual Fall Festival and Craft Show this weekend.

The event, a North Fork tradition, will be taking place on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days at the museum located on 6038 Sound Avenue in Riverhead.

The festival is Hallockville’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 5 to 12, free for children ages 4 and under are free, and $20 for 2 adults with 2 children.

All proceeds support the not-for-profit mission of Hallockville Museum Farm.

The festival will feature family-friendly activities for all ages to spend the day enjoying including:

  • Over 50 craft and artisan vendors selling locally handmade items
  • Craft demonstrations and displays including rug hooking, basketweaving, quilting, woodcarving, decoy carving, woodworking, and more
  • Handmade quilt show in the Naugles Barn by Eastern Long Island Quilters Guild
  • Tractor Pull and Show by LI Antique Power Association
  • Model Railroad from Railroad Museum of LI
  • Heirloom Vegetable Expo with exhibits and informative presentations from local growers and organizations including: Invincible Summer Farms, Salt of the Earth Seed Company, Amagansett Food Institute, Long Island Regional Seed Consortium, Suffolk County Homesteaders and Suffolk County Master Gardeners.
  • Talks will be given on: Heirloom Tomatoes, Seed Saving, Simple Ways to Live a Sustainable Life, and The Challenges and Opportunities for Local Food Producers.
  • Live music by Eastbound Freight Bluegrass Band ongoing throughout the day
  • Children’s activities and games
  • Guided museum tours of the 1765 Homestead, 1931 Cichanowicz Farmhouse and Homestead Barn
  • 250th Anniversary special exhibit and historic transportation exhibit
  • Livestock display and farm animals- goats, horses, donkeys, cows and more
  • Local food and beverage vendors including Rosie’s Country Kettle Corn, Nice Buns Food Truck, Eat Me Drink Me Food Truck, Chiddy’s Cheesesteaks Food Truck, Greenport Harbor Brewing Company, Long Island Pickle Company and more. Plus homemade baked goods.
