Handguns Stolen During Riverhead Burglary: Police
BREAKING: A thief entered a Riverhead home through a rear bedroom window and stole handguns and cash, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Handguns were stolen from a Riverhead home during a residential burglary sometime Thursday, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, officers responded to a Parkway Street home at 1:07 a.m. in response to a call about a burglary.
A resident at the home said that a stranger entered the residence through a rear bedroom window and stole two handguns and an amount of money, police said.

The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday, police said.
