Heartbroken Owner Searches Shoreham For Missing Cat, Max
"To say we are heartbroken is an understatement."

SHOREHAM, NY — A heartbroken woman in Shoreham is desperately searching for her missing cat Max.
Max, a black-and-white kitty, has been missing since Friday from her family's home on Blackfoot Trail in Shoreham, Laura Bohn said. "We have been combing the area constantly, talking to neighbors, who are keeping an eye out via the Ring doorbell app — and everyone we come across in the neighborhood."
Bohn loves to take both her cats out in their zippered strollers and now, is bereft. "To say we are heartbroken is an understatement," she said.

It's not the first time Max has gone on an adventure: "In 2021 Max got caught in a tree and managed to climb higher every time he was approached," she said.
At that time, Bohn paid Hugo Palencia of Palencia Landscaping and Tree Service to get him down safely.

"This time, he escaped his stroller and fought me when I tried to get him," she said.
Bohn said she feels very strongly that Max is in the area. "We keep looking all over, every day. Tonight the posters go up, with a $100 reward," she said.
Max, she said, is fairly friendly and microchipped.
"I am heartbroken, wracked with guilt, and extremely frustrated that he hasn't turned up. Truth be told, none of the feral cats that run around here, or wildlife, has been seen in a few days," she said. "Anyone in Shoreham or the surrounding area, please keep an eye out," she said.
If you see Max, call Bohn at 631-644-2180.
