Home Burglarized In Riverhead: Police

RIVERHEAD, NY — Authorities are investigating a burglary that took place at a residence in Riverhead Friday, police said.

Riverhead Police responded at 2:58 p.m. to a Horton Avenue residence to investigate the burglary, authorities said.

Upon police arrival, it was determined that someone had entered the residence through a south side window and removed assorted items, police said.

The Riverhead Police Department's detective division was notified and responded. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500. All calls will remain confidential.
