Homeless Man Steals Quad From Driveway: Cops

RIVERHEAD, NY — A homeless man was arrested after he stole a quad from someone's driveway, police said.

According to the Riverhead Police Department, a call came in Saturday morning at 4:40 a.m. from a resident on Ostrander Ave. who said someone had just removed a Polaris Quad from their driveway.

Patrol units arrived shortly after and found a man in the roadway with the quad in his possession, police said.

Daniel M. Russ, who is undomiciled, said he lives in Riverhead, police said. He was arrested and charged with one count of fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property, police said.
