Jamesport Civic Seeks Grade School Memorabilia For 100th Anniversary
Jamesport's George Young Community Center building was previously a grade school, and as it turns 100, a display of memorabilia is planned.

JAMESPORT, NY — The Greater Jamesport Civic Association is asking the community for help: They're looking for memorabilia from the former Jamesport grade school, to be used for a display at the building's 100th anniversary celebration in July.
The civic association is organizing a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the building, which is now the George Young Community Center in Jamesport — as well as to mark the 75th anniversary of the civic association itself.
The event will be held on Tuesday, July 4, immediately following the annual Independence Day commemoration, which starts at 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend both community events.
