Last 'Alive On 25' For Season Unfolds Thursday In Downtown Riverhead

RIVERHEAD, NY — Thursday marks the last time for the season to enjoy what's fast becoming one of downtown Riverhead's most popular events, the "Alive on 25" summer street festival.
Alive On 25 will take place on Main Street; the family event runs from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and admission is free.
The event includes live music on 8 stages, a classic car show, food, crafts beer, wine, street vendors, kids' activities, street performers, face painters, costumed characters, life-sized games, bubblepalooza, and arts.

Thursday's "Alive on 25" is being held due to a previously rained out evening; the performance schedule is as follows:

Bubblepalooza is free. A towel or change of clothes for kids is recommended.
All cars need to be removed from Main Street at 2 p.m.
Only service animals are allowed at the event; no skateboards or scooters are allowed. No weapons of any kind are allowed. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and no drones are allowed.
Alive on 25 road closures will take place from 2 p.m. until 11 p.m.
Main Street will be closed from Griffing Avenue to Ostrander Avenue. A portion of Peconic Avenue will be closed during the same time period. Roanoke Avenue will be closed from Second Street to Main Street.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to travel west and east by using Second Street.
North and southbound traffic should use alternate routes, including Center Drive to Osborne Avenue, Ostrander Avenue or County Route 105.
Free shuttle service will be provided from the municipal parking lot on Court Street. The pickup location will be on the south side of the lot. The shuttle will drop visitors off on Griffing Avenue and Main Street. Handicap parking locations will be available at Heidi Behr Way behind the old Swezey's and Joe's Garage, and the First Street parking lot near the walkway by the First Congregational Church.
