Law Firm Awards Scholarship To Teen Who Fights Back Against Drugs

Congratulations to Kenneth Rothwell, who's devoted time to educating other teens about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

RIVERHEAD, NY — One young man who took a proactive stance to fight back against the scourge of drugs and alcohol abuse saw his efforts recognized recently.

Kenneth Rothwell, of Wading River, was awarded the 2018 Twomey, Latham, Shea, Kelley, Dubin and Quartararo LLP Community Service Scholarship Thursday night at Riverhead High School's award ceremony.

Kenneth is a member of both the Riverhead Community Awareness Program and Riverhead Youth Coalition, having volunteered his time to interact with both youth and adults in the Riverhead community. He strived to help educate others on the dangers of drug and alcohol use and underage drinking.

Kenneth plans to Suffolk County Community College in the fall and transfer to Stony Brook University for the spring semester. His scholarship included a $750 check to help with college expenses.
