Loaded Gun Found in Home of Riverhead Parolee During Check: Cops

The arrest was made on Thursday night.

A Riverhead man on parolee was arrested after a loaded gun was found in his home during a compliance check on Thursday night, according to Riverhead Town Police.

The New York State Parole with the assistance of the Riverhead Town Police C.O.P.E. unit conducted a compliance check of parolee, 32-year-old Jesse Pace, at his home at about 9:50 p.m.

During the check, a loaded .380 caliber handgun was recovered, according to police.

Pace was charged with second and third degree criminal possession of a weapon, third degree criminal sale of a firearm and obstructing governmental administration.
