Local Business Helping Pets In Need

Hat's off to Apple Honda for giving back to our four-legged friends.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Apple Honda is reaching out to help homeless pets in need this holiday season.

The "Furry Friends Food & Supply Drive", to benefit pets at the North Fork Animal Welfare League's locations in Riverhead and Southold, will be held throughout the month of November at Apple Honda, located at 1375 Old Country Road, or Route 58, in Riverhead.

In a continuing effort to give back to the community, Apple Honda is adding to their “Second Chance Saturdays” by asking for donations of pet food and supplies for animals who will be spending the holidays at local shelters, the business said in a release.

Donations will be accepted at the sales showroom 7 days a week; the public can help fill a car with much needed items. Those hoping to donate may also bring items to the North Fork Animal Welfare League's locations in Riverhead and Peconic, or to Talmage Farm Agway in Riverhead.
