Local Woman Seeks Help To Realize Farming Dream

RIVERHEAD, NY — A Riverhead woman is looking to crowdfunding to make her dreams flower.

A GoFundMe, "Priscilla's Farm and Garden," created by Priscilla Antoinette, has raised $608 of its $5,000 goal so far.

"Calling all friends, family, poets and dream-seekers: To those of you that know me, this crowdfunding should come as no surprise," she wrote. "You are also aware of my life's hurdles. Finally in a place where my dreams are not just dreams, Leslie Howard and I are pursuing the challenge of starting our own farming business. With 10-plus combined years of organic vegetable, flowers, herbs and fruit experience we are ready."
